Frequently Asked Questions About Tiny Homes on Wheels

Electricity, Water & Gas

How do I connect to electricity?

Our standard tiny houses are equipped with a 32-amp mains power setup, complete with a safety switchboard. To connect, simply use the supplied 32-amp power lead. If your property already has a 32-amp outlet, no electrician is needed for this connection.

What are your tiny home lighting and power points?

We utilise a range of lighting options tailored to various settings, ensuring all products are sourced from trusted brands renowned for quality. Our focus is on energy-efficient LED fixtures to minimize energy consumption. For those seeking creative lighting solutions, we offer options such as recessed stair lighting or concealed strip lighting, allowing for dramatic effects to enhance the ambiance.

Do you offer Off Grid solutions?

Yes, our package includes the composting toilet option. Additionally, we can arrange for a licensed electrician to install a solar system package at an additional cost.

Does your tiny home come with solar power?

Not as standard, please contact us for more details.

How do I connect to gas?

All our Tiny homes are equipped with a dual gas regulator designed to accommodate two standard LPG gas bottles. You can use typical 8L barbecue gas bottles with ease. Connecting these bottles is straightforward and can be done by anyone familiar with connecting a gas bottle to a barbecue.

How do I connect to water?

Like conventional caravans, our tiny houses feature a standard garden hose plug connection as standard. It’s as straightforward as that! Please note that gutters cannot be installed due to dimensional restrictions when the tiny house is on the road.

What is your tiny home plumbing and fittings?

We incorporate high-quality tapware in both our kitchens and bathrooms. Our commonly used vanity is a white freestanding design. For kitchen sinks, we use durable brushed satin stainless steel. Additionally, we offer several shower options such a shower tray with curtain to full glass shower cabin.

Who typically handles the plumbing and electrical connections for your newly delivered tiny home?

We aim to make the standard Tiny Home on wheels plug-and-play where feasible, though you may require a licensed local plumber and electrician for permanent electrical connections.

How is waste and grey water treated?

In tiny houses on wheels, a typical setup includes a composting toilet paired with a grey water treatment system. The composting toilet separates liquid waste and converts solid waste into compost. Grey water is managed through filtration systems and grease traps to ensure proper treatment.
